چکیده

Understanding future landscape risk pattern change (FLRPC) scenarios will help people manage and utilize natural resources. In this study, we have selected a variety of anthropogenic factors as parameters for FLRPC assessment. Land use/cover (LUCC) land surface temperature (LST) are regarded significant that resulted in large-scale environmental changes. Result analysis the previous LUCC from 1985 to 2020 showed construction water body (WB) increased by 669.09 183.16 km2, respectively. The study continues predict 2030 2050, which result has shown large use conversion occurred during prediction period. addition, LST forecasting illustrated maximum minimum 38 °C 15 °C, be 40.83 26.25 future, Finally, used weighted overlay method analysis, applies analytic hierarchy process techniques evaluation. demonstrated Baghdad City is low-risk medium-risk high-risk categories while AL BL very-high-risk categories. Meanwhile, WB NG always been safe, falling into very-low-risk 2050. Therefore, successfully assessed metropolitan area made recommendations urban development more resilient, sustainable development.

Impact of urban land cover change on land surface temperature

The rapid growth in urban population is seen to create a need for the development of more urban infrastructures. In order to meet this need, natural surfaces such as vegetation are been replaced with non-vegetated surfaces such as asphalt and bricks which has the ability to absorb heat and release it later. This change in land cover is seen to increase the land surface temperature. Previous stu...

Evaluation of Land Use Change Trends Using Landscape Measurements (Case Study: Pakdasht City)

Today, urban and rural planning and management programs need to obtain accurate spatial information at successive times about land use changes. The main purpose of this study is to study and evaluate land use changes due to physical development with respect to 4 land uses in Bayer, agricultural lands, water zones and man-made lands in Pakdasht. Data were collected through Landsat satellite imag...

Land cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing

Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...

Investigation of the process of land cover change using metrics and land change processes in Gorganrood watershed

Aims and Background: The present study purpose to investigate and predict the changes of metrics and Landscape change processes in the Gorganrood watershed in Golestan province.  Methodology: First, land cover maps were prepared in 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020. Then predict land cover changes for future conditions, under two scenarios (1) continuation of the current trend of change for 2040 and (...

Anticipating land surface change.

The interplay of human actions and natural processes over varied spatial and temporal scales can result in abrupt transitions between contrasting land surface states. Understanding these transitions is a key goal of sustainability science because they can represent abrupt losses of natural capital. This paper recognizes flickering between alternate land surface states in advance of threshold ch...
